Asteros.EDU Distance Learning System

Asteros.EDU is an online distance learning system based on modern training and knowledge assessment methodology developed by Asteros Consulting. This system is widely used by the Federal Education Agency of Russia.

Asteros.EDU functionality supports core teaching and learning processes:

  • Training program, course and schedule design plus development of multimedia training content such lectures, projects and tests
  • Development of individual learning plans and automated test assignment and evaluation
  • Tests, exams and anonymous questionnaires

Asteros.EDU is currently used in 12 universities including St. Petersburg State University, Moscow State Linguistic University, North Caucasus State Technical University, Kuban State University, Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod and Tatar State University of Humanities and Education. It contains over 1000 courses on different subjects and is available to more than 30 thousand students. Eight additional universities are scheduled for connection to the system by the end of 2009.
