Asteros is a new name on the Russian IT market, but, at the same time, is a company with a long history.
Asteros is a leader in the construction of IT-infrastructure and engineering systems in Russia. Asteros Group was formed in December 2008 on the strong foundations of the BAC enterprise. The name Asteros is taken from the first letters of 'Automated Systems & TEchnologies of ROSsiya (Russia)'. This name underlines the specific nature of the Group’s activities and the scale of its tasks, which it completes within the scope of its projects. The word Asteros also means 'star' in Ancient Greek. Therefore, this new name also represents the Group’s target of securing a leading position in the IT market.
